From the Ashes

Fire is an essential part of Australia's environment. It has shaped our continent and continues to shape it to this day.

Bushfires both destroy and renew. As climate changes the intensity and force of fires it is critical that we understand how it will affect our native plants and animals.

In this issue of PAWS we look at some of complex relationships between fire and native species and how our scientists are working to ensure their protection.
