Tibooburra Courthouse

Surrounded by Sturt National Park, Tibooburra is a remote outback settlement in the far northwest of New South Wales.

Tibooburra court house was built in 1887 to a design by colonial architect James Barnet.

The building now hosts the Tibooburra Courthouse Museum, which exhibits photographs and relics of pastoral, mining and other European history in the state’s far north-west.

It is attached to the local office of the National Parks and Wildlife Service, which provides visitor information, including the latest on the roads and weather, and camping permits for Sturt national park.

The Foundation contributed funds that enabled the acquisition of the Tibooburra Courthouse.
